Knights Classic Car Show – November 24, 2018

The Knights of Columbus Council #15231 had there semi-annual Classic Car Show on Saturday November 24th. Sixty-five Classic Cars showed up to an interested crowd of onlookers with smiles and reminiscing of the old days. Fifties, Sixties and Seventies Rock blared from Lances Cruzin’ to the Hop Car Show trailer as the Knights cooked and served hot dogs, hamburgers, water and Cokes. Ss Peter and Paul Parish Picnic – November 18, 2018

The Knights of Columbus Council #15231 were the cooks at the Western-themed annual parish picnic this year. Hot dogs, pulled pork, mac and cheese along with many other picnic goodies were served to hundreds who attended the line-dancing, comedic, fun-fill afternoon. Character artists, kids panning for gold, old western photographer and plenty of fun and laughs filled the Msrg Moretti Center. Click the photo above to see more photos from the picnic.

Military Ball – November 3, 2018

The Knights of Columbus Assembly #1860 celebrated their Military Ball on Saturday November 3 at IMG Academy in Bradenton. The evenings Guest of Honor was Fr. Paul McLaughlin.

Bishop Animal Shelter Donation – November 3, 2018

The Knights of Columbus#15231 delivered to Bishop Animal Shelter pet food and supplies donated by our KofC Council and church parishioners from Ss. Peter and Paul the Apostles Catholic Church.

 

7th Annual Msgr Moretti Golf Tournament – Oct 27, 2018

We had 108 golfers at the Knights of Columbus 7th Annual Msrg Moretti Golf Tournament! A new record for our annual golf tournament. Lunch along with awards was served after a beautiful day of Golf. Knight of the Month for August – Sept 12, 2018

Sam Conge was presented the Knight of the Month award for August 2018 at our monthly meeting by Grand Knight Mark Gallagher for his active participation, wide range of out-of-the box ideas and most of all his genuine enthusiasm. Congratulations Sam!!

 

Knight of the Month for July – Aug 8, 2018

Grand Knight Mark Gallagher presented David Schuster the Knight of the Month award for July 2018 at our monthly meeting. Congratulations Dave!!

 

Knights of Columbus paint St. Vincent De Paul Building in Bradenton – July 28, 2018

Brother Knights of Council #15231 in Bradenton painted the St Vincent De Paul building in the hot and humid morning of July 28th. They did an excellent job  and were thanked for there professional work. The building is located on 8th Avenue in Bradenton.  Click the photo above to see more.

Knight of the Year & Family of the Year – July 8, 2018

The Knights of Columbus Council #15231 in Bradenton awarded Mike Quinn Knight of the Year for 2017-18 for his tireless efforts in recruiting. The Parker family received Family of the Year for 2017-18 for being the family that is the most helpful at KC events. Grand Knight Mark Gallagher presented the awards to the recipients while they were given a big round of applause by the council members. Congratulations!

Knights of Columbus Build Staircase for the
Community Pregnancy Clinic – June 23, 2018

The Knights of Columbus Council #15231 in Bradenton received a request to build a staircase for the back of the building of the Community Pregnancy Clinic in Sarasota. Ironically enough, they are located right next door to Planned Parenthood. Steve Watkins and Bill Jandric evaluated the site and determined the amount of materials and work to be done. On Saturday, June 23, 2018 five Knights worked for a three hours and finished the staircase and railing. Dr Karen Liebert and the rest of the staff were elated with the quickness and quality of the project.

K of C “Fraterna Coventus” – May 20, 2018

Our twenty-third fraternal get-together for the Knights of Columbus Council #15231 at the Seafood Shack in Cortez. It was our first time there and we really enjoyed the food and atmosphere as we ate lunch watching the boats go by in the intracoastal.

Knights of Columbus Classic Car Show – March 24, 2018

On Saturday March 24, 2018 the Knight of Columbus Council 15231 had our third Classic Car show that raised money for various charities that we support. We had a great turnout of over 90 cars!! We had several hundred people attend the show, see the cars, have lunch cooked and served by the Knights and people had a chance to visit vendors, who were new to the classic car show this time. Habitat for Humanity – January 6, 2018

On very chilly Saturday some Knights from the Knights of Columbus Council #15231 laid sod for a house in Bradenton. Our Knights placed 9 pallets of sod for the yard. Thank you gentlemen for your hard work in forty degree weather!
